Chernobyl's Human Cost as the 25th Anniversary of the Disaster draws close.

A Patient in Soltanovka adult mental asylum in the Mogilev region of Belarus.This young adult patient having grown too old for the children's orphanage where he grew up was recently transferred here leaving those he knew behind. Chernobyl's human costs are widespread affecting about seven million people.A generation later children are being born with birth defects ,heart problems and thyroid cancer.The crippled economy of Belarus has led to poverty, social problems and domestic abuse.
