Chernobyl's Human Cost as the 25th Anniversary of the Disaster draws close.

Vitaly cares for his fifteen year old daughter Sasha in their one bedroom appartment in the city of Gomel in Southern Belarus.He cares for her during the day and must go to work as a night watchman each evening. Chernobyl's human costs are widespread affecting about seven million people.A generation later children are being born with birth defects ,heart problems and thyroid cancer.The crippled economy of Belarus has led to poverty, social problems and domestic abuse.
